Braylon Heard, a running back last season will move to cornerback, and Graham Stoddard has moved from linebacker to fullback, for a chance to play more on regular downs according to Bo Pelini.
Heard, 5-11, 180 lbs. ran the ball 25 times for 114 yards (4.6 per carry), but with NU returning All-Big Ten running back Rex Burkhead, and sophomores Ameer Abdullah and Aaron Green, there is no room for Heard in the backfield.
Stoddard, a Lincoln native playes special teams player and last December was listed as a third-string linebacker at the BUCK position. Stoddard will compete with junior Tyler Legate, 5-10, 235 lbs from Neligh, NE and sophomore C.J. Zimmerer, 6-0, 235 lbs. from Omaha at fullback.
