The No. 17 Nebraska women’s basketball team claimed a No. 6 seed in the Des Moines regional and will face former rival and No. 11 seed Kansas in the first round at Little Rock, AR on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. central. Nebraska, in its first year in the Big Ten, was one of a conference-record seven teams to earn bids in the NCAA Tournament. The Huskers finished the season with a 24-8 overall record as the Big Ten Tournament runner-up.
Baylor, who went undefeated and won the Big 12 tournament is the No. 1 seed out of the Des Moines regional and the Huskers would face the Bears in the regional final.
