Behind three RBI’s from Chad Christensen and a home run each by Josh Scheffert and Pat Kelly homered, Chad Christensen drove in three runs and freshman Austin Darby had three hits as the Nebraska baseball team (11-6, 0-0 Big Ten) came back from an early deficit to beat the South Dakota State Jackrabbits 12-3.
NU’s bats woke up after being down 2-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth. Playing their fifth game in five days, the Huskers finished with 15 hits. Darby’s career-high three hits included his first career double, and Christensen improved his team-leading RBI total to 19 with a single and a double.
The Huskers return to action on Thursday taking on Louisiana Tech.
