The Lincoln Stars won 11 of their final 14 games, including a 2-1 win over Fargo on Saturday to give them the top seed in the Western Conference as the USHL playoff begin on Friday.
The Stars earned a first-round bye and will have home-ice advantage through the conference finals. Lincoln’s second-round series will pit them against the lowest remaining seed in the Western Conference — Fargo, Sioux City or Tri-City (based in Kearney). The Omaha Lancers will also have a first round bye and begin their playoff series this weekend.
