Nebraska got the latest commitment from Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown, Ohio, as linebacker Courtney Love made his verbal pledge to the Huskers on Sunday. Love is the second recruit (defensive end A.J. Natter–Milton, Wis.) to commit to NU after visiting Lincoln last weekend.
The 6-foot-1, 225-pound Love will be the fifth Mooney player to join the Husker roster since Bo Pelini, a graduate of the school, has been Nebraska’s head coach. As a junior, Love made 167 tackles and eight sacks. USC, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Michigan State and Florida State were also bidding for his service.
Love is the fifth known commitment in Nebraska’s 2013 class.
