Nebraska’s outgoing cornerback Alfonzo Dennard was arrested after a disturbance early Saturday outside a Lincoln bar. Lincoln Police Capt. Jason Stille said the 22 year old Dennard, was arrested on suspicion of assault of a police officer, third-degree assault and resisting arrest. Dennard was held Saturday in the Lancaster County jail.
Stille said officers tried to break up a fight between Dennard and another 22 year old man outside The Hour Lounge just after 2:00 a.m. early Saturday morning. Dennard hit the man before punching an officer who tried to intervene in the head. He was arrested after a brief struggle with four officers, police said.
