The Omaha Storm Chasers beat the Nashville Sounds, 2-1 in a quick two hour and 19 minute game on Sunday afternoon. Nate Adcock pitched an eight inning, one run game. A Jarrod Dyson squeeze play in the bottom of the seventh scored the go-ahead run.
Nashville broke into the run column quickly when the second batter of the game, Brooks Conrad, homered to put the Sounds on top by a score of 1-0. The Storm Chasers (13-5) responded in the home half of the first with a run of their own that came on a sacrifice fly by Johnny Giavotella. The sac fly brought home Dyson who had tripled to lead off the bottom of the first. Terry Evans singled and advanced to third when Ryan Eigsti followed him with a single of his own. Dyson then squared around and bunted on a squeeze that scored Evans and gave the Storm Chasers a 2-1 lead.
Omaha and Nashville will play game three of their four-game series on Monday at 6:35 p.m.
