Nebraska volleyball picked up the first recruit for 2014 edging out Big Ten foes Minnesota and Illinois along with Texas, by getting a commitment from outside hitter Maddie Haggerty, a top 100 player for high school sophomores according to PrepVolleyball.com. Haggerty is 6’1 and led Benet Academy to the Illinois Class 4A state championship. She will transfer to St. Francis High School in Wheaton, IL along with her younger sister Molly. Her older sister, Meghan, will be a freshman middle blocker at Wisconsin this season.
