The Omaha Storm Chasers and the Tacoma Rainiers split Sunday’s doubleheader at Werner Park. Omaha took game one erasing a four-run deficit to win 8-5. The Rainiers came back in game two by holding Omaha to just three hits en-route to a 4-0 win.
Vin Mazzaro (2-0) started for the Chasers (27-17) in game one and picked up the victory after allowing five runs in 5.1 innings of work. Brandon Sisk earned the save after shutting out the Rainiers (17-26) in his 1.2 innings pitched. Clint Robinson had three RBI. Omaha trailed Tacoma 4-0 heading into the fourth, but put up six runs to take the lead.
Sean O’Sullivan (3-3) started for Omaha in game two and was hit with a loss after allowing four runs in his 5.2 innings. The Storm Chasers only hits in game two came from Derrick Robinson, Clint Robinson and Max Ramirez.
