Nebraska’s Bjorn Barrefors is ready for the men’s Decathlon at the NCAA track and field championships in Des Moines, Iowa, which begins today. Barrefors has the fifth-best decathlon score in the NCAA this spring. Barrefors will compete for Sweden in the World Games in Helsinki in two weeks. If he meets the top three Swedish scores, he’ll represent his home nation in the Olympics in London. He’s seeded fifth in this tournament. Other Huskers to watch include Chad Wright, who is one of the Huskers’ best hopes for a national title. He is ranked second in the discus nationally with a toss of 193 feet, 8 inches. Chris Phipps is seeded fourth in the long jump.
