A Council Bluffs, Iowa woman was airlifted to Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha Thursday after critically injured in a wood chipper accident. Pottawattamie County Sheriff Jeff Danker says 46 year old Angela Davis was working for a tree trimming stump removal service.
Crew members were up in a tree lowering branches to the ground with a rope. Sheriff Danker says somehow Davis became tangled in the rope and was pulled into the chipper.
Davis suffered severe cuts to her face and leg. She was rushed into surgery once arriving at the medical center. Sheriff Danker says her injuries are severe but not life threatening.
