The office building of a car dealership in Omaha went up in flames this morning. Battalion Chief Chris Gregor says an employee discovered the blaze when he showed up to work at Royal Auto Sales around 8:30. That employee opened the door and was hit by a wave of heat and smoke.
Gregor says the firefighters had to spray water everywhere inside the small building. They had to tear down part of a wall to make sure fire wasn’t contained inside. There is smoke and water damage throughout the entire building.
None of the cars on the lot were damaged and no one was hurt. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
