The Omaha Storm Chasers have won seven of their last eight after the blanked the Albuquerque Isotopes, 6-0. The shutout was the fifth on the season for the Storm Chasers and the victory improved their record to 53-21 and an impressive 33-12 at home. Wil Myers broke a 0-0 tie in the sixth inning with his 14th Triple-A home run of the season and 27th on the year when you add in his 13 from Double-A Northwest Arkansas.
Will Smith (3-4) was solid in his 6.0 scoreless innings on the hill, picking up the win after striking out nine batters while allowing just three hits. Brandon Sisk, Jeremy Jeffress and Ryan Verdugo all worked an inning out of the bullpen to hold Albuquerque in check.
