The Nebraska Humane Society made another trip to a Boone County farm last week and six more malnourished horses into their care. Humane Society’s spokesperson Kristie Biodrowski says the nine horses originally taken earlier this month are doing very well and should be ready for new homes in another couple of months.
Last week the Humane Society returned to the Boone County farm and picked up six more malnourished horses. Two of those are mares with new colts. The horses are being looked after in a foster care program for larger animals through the Humane Society. The good news is that the first nine horses are showing improvement and could be ready for new homes in three or four months.
