Nebraskans who got bad checks in return for their gold and other valuables at an antique show last month may soon get what they’re due.
An official with the Treasure Hunters Roadshow says everyone who had a check bounce after the Nebraska City event July 3rd through 7th will be paid back — with extra.
Frank Ross, a spokesman for THR and Associates, says those customers will be compensated.
Ross says, “Every known case of a check that didn’t clear is being handled by sending a money order and an additional $25 for inconvenience and bad check fees.”
At the four-day event, the company reportedly wrote 94 checks totaling more than $37,000. The Otoe County Attorney says at least seven of the checks were bad.
Other customers who received a bad check from THR can call Ross at (217) 679-1718.
