Nebraska is establishing a trade office in Shanghai, China.
Governor Dave Heineman said in a conference call from China today that they are doing it in partnership with the Shanghai Small to Medium Enterprise Center for international cooperation.
“With the opening of our trade office in Shanghai, we will continue to build a strong, economic relationship with Nebraska and China”. Heineman says
Heineman says the center is a quasi-governmental organization with 300,000 members.
The trade office will also showcase Nebraska’s economic strength.
“This trade office will showcase Nebraska’s economic strengths”, Heineman says. “Nebraska is a business-friendly state and we want to expand exports to China”.
Governor Heineman will return from his trade mission in China on Friday.
