The Nebraska football team held their third night practice of fall camp on Wednesday evening, and following the team’s practice in full pads, Head Coach Bo Pelini spoke about what he’s seen in the first few days of fall camp.
“We’ve had a good start to camp and that’s what it’s been: a good start,” Pelini said. “We’ve made progress, but it’s early. We’ve already started mixing and matching and moving guys around and seeing where they fit and how they fit on this football team. The competition has been good up to this point, but it’s early.”
The team is already mixing personnel groups as the competition level increases at all positions. “We’ve already been experimenting, moving guys around and using a lot of different personnel groups. There’s competition at every position, probably moreso than almost any time since I’ve been here. Hopefully that will make us a better football team as we move along.”
Perhaps the most important news to pass along at this time in camp, is there are no injuries to report. The Huskers will continue their fall camp practices on Thursday night.
