Early morning burglars broke into the former Uta Halle School for troubled girls in Omaha and made off with a number of electronic items that were intended for the auction block today. Auction Solution’s Mark Beacam says thieves tripped a burglar alarm but by the time anyone could arrive they were gone
The thieves got away with six big screen TVs, a projector, sound equipment and other items belonging to the school.
Beacam showed frustration because the thieves also took several pieces of their equipment needed for the two day auction including several credit card machines.
After serving the state’s troubled girls for more than 50 years Uta Halle closed last December. All of the items used at the school are being auctioned off today and tomorrow as scheduled.
