Head coach Bo Pelini said Urban Meyer’s offense with the Buckeyes is very similar to what Pelini saw from Meyer at Florida. The one big difference is a different quarterback style with Braxton Miller running the show. Will Compton says slowing down Miller is priority #1 this week. Ohio State has gained just over 2,000 yards in total offense and Miller has accounted for all but 581 of those yards with either his arm or legs. He’s thrown for 933 while gaining 577 on the ground. Compton says the defense is not ready to concede any yards to Miller.

Quarterback Taylor Martinez was named co-offensive players of the week and kicker Brett Maher was named the special teams player of the week. Martinez totaled 288 yards of total offense and helped Nebraska rally after a slow start against Wisconsin. That’s what happened in last year’s game against Ohio State. NU rallied in the second half of that game and Martinez admits, it would be nice to get off to a quicker start on the road
