I see having a bye week following a bad loss like the one the Huskers experienced on Saturday at Ohio State as both a good and a bad thing. Bad from the standpoint that it could have a lingering effect on the team’s confidence, but if the Huskers were exposed for their weaknesses against the Buckeyes, it also gives the team extra time to learn from those mistakes, open up competition and improve. So, if last Saturday was rock bottom, there is only one way to go.
Today we hear from three coaches. Offensive coordinator Tim Beck says he has to figure out why the offense implodes for a series or two. Running backs coach Ron Brown tells us there could be learning lessons that will benefit the team and linebacker’s coach Ross Els pulls no punches with his analysis of his unit on the defensive side.
