A young Alliance man will spend the rest of his life in prison for the stabbing death of his live-in girlfriend and her father.
The Attorney General’s office reports that 26-year-old Dominick Dubray has been found guilty of killing 22-year-old Catalina “Cathy” Chavez and her 42-year-old father, Mike Loutzenhiser. Dubray had threatened to kill Chavez if she ever tried to leave him.
Each first degree murder count carries a mandatory life sentence.
Police found the bodies of Chavez and Loutzenhiser in February of this year in the house that Dubray and Chavez shared. Both Chavez and Loutzenhiser had suffered multiple stab wounds.
Sentencing is scheduled for December 1, 2012.
