An emergency order has been issued by the state, shutting down a Lincoln child care provider.
The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health, issued the order against Ashley Ullman. Under the order, Ullman no longer can care for children other than her own, pending an investigation launched by the department.
Ullman may request a hearing with 15 days. State law requires a hearing within 10 days of the request, unless a continuance is granted.
The department orders an emergency suspension when it determines immediate action is needed to protect children in a child care program. Disciplinary action is possible pending on the outcome of the investigation.
