N-P Dodge Park in Omaha was under water for 104 days during the summer Missouri River Flood of 2011. 2,000 trees were lost and the Omaha Park Foundation is working hard to replace them.
On Thursday, a dedication ceremony was held at the entrance of the park to celebrate the planting of 45 trees. A $10,000 donation by First National Bank in Omaha to the Parks Foundation purchased the trees in an effort to restore the park.
To date, the Omaha Parks Foundation have replaced 80 trees.
