Enough with the questions. Enough with being overly complimentary of the opposing team. It’s time to strap on the pads and get at it. A trip to Pasadena, CA. is on the line Saturday night at Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis, IN., as the Huskers take on the Wisconsin Badgers in the Big Ten title game.
Bo Pelini and Bret Bielema met with the media one more time Friday afternoon and after listening to both coaches, it sounds as if both teams are going to be a little healthier than first expected.
Pelini said Rex Burkhead is 100%, and outside of the injuries to center Justin Jackson and defensive tackle Baker Steinkuhler, the team is healthy. Pelini danced around the subject when asked if he was confident he had players who could fill in at those positions.
Wisconsin will have WR Jared Abbrederis and LB Chris Borland back for this game. Borland had two fumble recoveries in the first meeting between these teams and Abbrederis, a long touchdown.
While the Badgers have the advantage of playing in this game and knowing about it for the last three week, the Badger head coach said Nebraska actually had the advantage before they played Iowa on Friday and had one extra day of prep for the game.
