Early results have Gov. Mitt Romney leading President Obama in Nebraska as well as Republican Deb Fischer out front in her United States Senate race with Bob Kerrey.
Only about 4% of the vote is in. The Secretary of State’s office reports 150,000 or 13% of the ballots have been cast.
Romney is up 55-43. Fischer leads Kerrey 52-47.
Early results have the first two constitutional amendments well out in front. They would expand impeachment and enshrine hunting and fishing in the state constitution. The amendments to expand legislative term limits and increase legislative pay trail badly in the early voting.
Republican incumbent Lee Terry holds an early 52-48 lead over challenger John Ewing, Jr. Incumbents Jeff Fortenberry and Adrian Smith hold wide leads early.
