Jim Hain is the Vice-President of Ag Services for the Lund Company in Omaha who worked in cooperation with the Schrader Real Estate & Auction Company in Columbus who conducted the sale and says the all the owners are from Nebraska.
The land was broken into a combination of 16 tracts. The land is in three locations within seven miles and the largest was 1,100 contiguous acres. Nine Nebraska farmers bid 15.13-million dollars for all 1,855 acres. The highest price paid for one of the tracts totaled 11,000 an acre.
