Memories are still fresh, a year after the school’s first game without Joe Paterno as head coach, stemming from the Jerry Sandusky child abuse that took place on campus. It was the Husker football team that was the center of attention, being the first game opponent on Penn State’s schedule after the firing of Paterno.
As the Nittany Lions try to move and transition to a new era, the past is still on everyone’s mind. Running backs coach Ron Brown says he still hears from Penn State fans after he led both teams in a prayer, last November 12th. Brown said he would not be opposed to gathering both teams at the middle of the field again this Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
