A Nebraska State Patrol trooper found more than 2,300 pounds of marijuana in the back of a rental truck he stopped on I-80 this past weekend.
The Nebraska State Patrol reports that 56-year-old James Valimont of Glendale, AZ has been charged with intent to sell marijuana and is in the York County jail.
The patrol says that the trooper stopped the new rental truck when it failed to signal a turn near the Bradshaw Interchange on I-80. After getting consent to search the vehicle, the trooper discovered marijuana packaged in 101 bundles of various sizes in the truck. Total weight: 2,395.5 pounds.
