The Nebraska Department of Labor reports the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in October settled in at 3.8%, edging down a bit from September.
In 2011, the October unemployment rate was 4.4%.
The department reports that non-farm employment in Nebraska totals nearly one million jobs.
Non-farm jobs grew by 3,571 from September to October and by more than 10,000 over the past year. The largest growth job came in Mining and Construction; Education and Health Services; and Manufacturing.
The national unemployment rate in October was 7.9%.
