An elderly eastern Nebraska man was involved in a crash in Colorado on Tuesday that left two road construction workers dead.
The Colorado State Patrol says the SUV veered off an exit ramp south of Denver and hit two members of a road crew, killing both of them, then collided with another vehicle.
Troopers identify the driver of the SUV as 74-year-old Thomas Garrity of Bellevue. Garrity was injured in the crash, as was a 72-year-old female passenger.
Both were taken to a hospital for treatment. The workers who were killed were both from the Denver area.
As yet, there are no reports of any charges filed against Garrity.
