Nebraska’s largest school district is one step closer in filling the open seat for superintendent. Late last spring Omaha Public Schools hired Nancy Sebring to fill the position and she left her job as head of Des Moines Public Schools to make the move. She resigned the position in Omaha after it was discovered she sent sexually explicit emails from her work computer in Des Moines.
Omaha Public School Board President Freddie Gray says they are once again down to three finalists and they will hold a meet and greet Tuesday with the public.
The three candidates are Carey Wright who is currently the Chief academic officer in District of Columbia Public Schools, Mark Evans, current superintendent of Andover Public Schools, Kansas and Stephen Murley, superintendent of Iowa City Public Schools.
