A 30-year-old Fairbury man who is wanted on several sexual assault allegations has been captured in Arizona.
Fairbury Police Chief Chad Sprunk says Billy Barritt was wanted for four counts of sexual assault of a child. Barritt is a lifetime registered sex offender, originally from Madison County, Nebraska.
Chief Sprunk says Barritt was suspected of traveling from Fairbury to the Norfolk area, this week.
Authorities had been looking for a black 1997 Chevrolet pickup Barritt was driving, and the vehicle was located in Arizona.
Barritt is currently on probation from a Jefferson County sentence for being a felon in possession of a weapon.
The sexual assault charges allegedly involve multiple children under the age of ten.
