Nebraska could once again be in the national spotlight as Omaha is in the running to host the 2016 Olympic Swim Trials.
President of the Omaha Sports Commission Harold Cliff says Omaha is included in the six other cities that placed a bid for the trial. The other cities include Indianapolis, San Antonio, St. Louis, Jacksonville and Greensboro.
Cliff says U-S Swimming expect to make an announcement in April.
Omaha has hosted the past two swim trials with the latest this past summer. More than 160-thousand fans attended the 2012 event.
