For the second morning in a row there was a fatality accident in western Douglas County. Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Marty Bilek says four people were killed on a viaduct on Highway 275 and West Maple near Waterloo.
Chief Deputy Bilek says the driver of an eastbound red Honda Civic lost control and slid into the westbound lane and was hit by another vehicle head on. There were four people in the Civic and all died. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to an Omaha hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
This is very close to where a Valley woman was killed in a two vehicle accident Thursday.
Investigators say the driver of the Civic likely hit black ice and slid into the oncoming vehicle.
Names have not been released pending notification of relatives.
