A Grand Island woman has pleaded “no contest” to sexual assault charges after allegedly having sex with her teenage stepson multiple times.
Prosecutors say 27-year-old Michelle Almonte-DeJesus made the plea as part of a deal other charges to be dropped, including incest, child pornography and creating obscene material.
Police say the woman and the 15-year-old traded nude photos of each other via cell phone and began having sex in January of last year.
The boy’s father reportedly called police after seeing the two in the act.
The boy has since turned 16. He had been listed as missing. The boy was reportedly living at the Boys Town shelter in Grand Island last fall but ran away during a field trip.
The step-mother, Almonte-DeJesus, will be sentenced in May.
