Travel in eastern Nebraska is very slow going after another round of winter weather targets the Midlands. A number of highways and portions of the interstate system were closed due to accidents and icy conditions Sunday.
In Nebraska’s largest city snow plows are a common sight. City Street Engineer Scott McIntyre says snow plows started moving in Omaha about 3:00 am Sunday and continue to clear streets. Crews will continue work for the rest of the day to clear all residential areas.
Officially at Eppley Airfield, Omaha received 8.8″ which put the total for the year at 30.4″.
