Local investors in Custer County have pledged the money needed to build a new hotel and convention center in Broken Bow.
The Broken Bow City Council gave the nod to Cobblestone Hotel & Suites to utilize Tax Increment Financing funding to begin construction.
Custer Economic Development President Melissa Garcia tells Nebraska Radio Network affiliate KCNI/KBBN the hotel will have 36 rooms. Attached to the hotel will be a convention center that can hold as many as 500 people.
The new facility will be built on Highway 2. It is expected to create 10 jobs.
Groundbreaking could begin as early as the end of the month. The facility could be open for business as soon as October.
