Authorities say a suspected killer from Illinois was believed to be on the lam in Nebraska and they’ve found him.
Law officers say 24-year-old John Harris was wanted for murder in Saint Clair County, Illinois, in what’s described as a gang-related shooting that happened earlier this year.
Sources said Harris might have been in the Lincoln area and law officers here launched a manhunt which netted Harris — in Lincoln — on Thursday afternoon.
He was taken into custody with no shots fired and is being held in the Lancaster County Jail, pending extradition to East Saint Louis.
