Beginning farmers and ranchers in Nebraska can learn a lot from the pros when it comes to developing their operation.
Wyatt Fraaz is the Program Manger with the Center for Rural Affairs and says they are holding a series of workshops that will help those new to the business of farming and ranching expand their horizons. Fraaz says topics will include the concepts of mob grazing and the marketing of grass fed beef. The other focuses on vegetable and fruit production.
Experienced farmers will talk about their practices and markets followed by hands on training with start up costs and most importantly financing the operation.
