Unemployment in Nebraska remained stable in February.
The Nebraska Department of Labor reports the preliminary unemployment rate for last month at 3.8%, the same as in January.
Non-farm employment did rise in February from January, a total of nearly 3,000 jobs.
Three sectors led the job growth, including manufacturing. The other two sectors were Professional and Business Services, and Education and Health Services.
The Omaha-area unemployment rate dropped four-tenths of a percent to settle at 4.6%.
The Lincoln-area unemployment rate also dropped four-tenths of a percent, now at 3.8%.
The national unemployment rate is 7.7%.
