A Missouri fugitive, considered armed and dangerous, remains at large, perhaps in north-central Nebraska.
A manhunt for 39-year-old Lloyd Tabor began on Friday. Tabor fled Missouri, where he is wanted on a number of charges, including burglary and resisting arrest.
The Nebraska State Patrol reported Tabor fled on foot after the vehicle he was driving got a flat tire on Highway 2 near Halsey in north-central Nebraska. The Patrol believes Tabor stole the truck in South Dakota.
The Patrol used a helicopter and police dogs, but couldn’t locate Tabor.
A pick-up reported stolen from Thomas County Saturday was found abandoned in the North Platte area mid-morning on Sunday.
Authorities suspect Tabor ditched the truck and might have left the area.
