Nebraska’s defensive coordinator John Papuchis is happy that the Husker defense is continuing to show signs of improvement after the team’s 12th practice this spring season. “We really made a big jump I thought last week in terms of our general understanding of the entire defense.” Papuchis said, “We’ve got to keep doing that this week. This is a big week.”
Papuchis wants to see the NU defense continue to push to get better ahead of Saturday’s Red-White game.
“I want us to be better when we leave the practice field on Wednesday than we were today, and I want us to better when we leave the game field on Saturday than we were today.” Papuchis said, “If we keep taking strides, those little steps will add up come Aug. 31.”
The Nebraska football team has one practice until its annual Red-White Spring Game on April 6. This year’s scrimmage will be televised on the Big Ten Network at 2 p.m. (CT)
