A stand-off with Omaha police at 56th and Sprague Streets ended without incident shortly after 11 am Wednesday morning. Omaha police surrounded the house at 6:00 Wednesday morning. Police say the wanted man had barricaded himself inside.
The Metro Area Fugitive Task Force, Omaha Police Mobile Command Unit and the Gang Unit are also at the scene. A negotiator was also brought in to speak with the person. It is not known if the person inside with the wanted man is a hostage or in the house willingly.
Police ended up using tear gas to get the man to surrender. His name has not been released.
Also overnight an officer on patrol at 1230 Park Wild Avenue in Omaha spotted Albert Fuller Jr. The officer knew there was a warrant for his arrest and saw Fuller run inside a house. The officer called for back up and when additional officers arrived they contacted the resident. Permission was given to search the house for Fuller who refused to comply with officer’s demands. Officers then sent in a K9 and the Fuller surrendered without further incident. Fuller was booked for obstructing and fugitive from justice.
