Nebraska volleyball coach John Cook said Alexa Strange is going back to California to focus on beach volleyball and will not be playing indoor. She played in 25 matches last season as a freshman. “Alexa Strange has decided to leave Nebraska. She is returning to California and will focus on playing beach volleyball and will not be playing indoor. We wish her the best,” coach Cook said in a statement.
Strange had a strong game against Indiana, totaling seven kills on nine swings (.778). Four of her kills came in the fifth set against the Hoosiers, as she helped the Huskers to the win. She totaled 25 kills on the year and a hitting percentage of .309, with 55 digs and 15 assists.
