A day after Tim Tebow was cut by the New York Jets, the Omaha Beef indoor football team made a call to Tebow’s agent Jimmy Sexton to offer a standard player contract…which is $75 per game. Beef assistant general manager Andrew Mather said he doesn’t expect to hear back, but felt there was no harm in at least asking.
Tebow went unclaimed on NFL waivers Tuesday.
The Beef are currently 6-1 and play their next game at home on Sunday against the Mid-Missouri Outlaws. Current starting quarterback James McNear is completely nearly 70% of his passes with 21 touchdowns and only two interceptions.
