A day after rallying to take a 3-2 victory over No. 14/15 Nebraska, Penn State came up short as the Huskers claimed the series with a 2-0 win Monday afternoon in the final 2013 regular-season game. Nebraska finished with seven hits to score two runs. Tatum Edwards (25-8) earned the victory for the Huskers, limiting Penn State to one hit while walking a pair of batters over seven innings.
The Huskers now turn their attention to the Big Ten tournament that they will host which begins on Thursday. The Huskers will face the winner of the #7 Michigan State-#10 Ohio State winner on Friday.
