Another Nebraska politician says he will not “likely” run for retiring United States Sen. Mike Johanns seat.
Nebraska’s 2nd District Congressman Lee Terry, a Republican, says he is very busy in the U-S House of Representatives and has a lot of irons in the fire he wants to see through.
Congressman Terry says those in the U-S House often look at “the other side”, meaning the U-S Senate but doubts if he will attempt that leap. Congressman Terry is in the running to head a committee in the House down the road. He is also working on several bills and says if he would seek election to the U-S Senate those would be lost.
Congressman Terry says he is 98% sure he will not run for U-S Senate.
