Monday morning’s severe thunderstorm in Douglas and Sarpy Counties uprooted trees and sent many crashing down on cars, houses and power lines. Omaha Public Power District continues to restore power to those who lost service.
OPPD spokesperson Jodie Baker says about 71-hundred customers are without power as of 10 am Tuesday morning. At the height of the storm 52,000 customers were without service. OPPD hopes to have power restored to all customers by Wednesday evening.
