The former Belle of Brownville riverboat is again calling Omaha home. The riverboat was also the original River City Star cruise vessel but was retired several years ago. River City Star manager Amy Partch says the four deck luxury excursion boat was brought up the river from the Plattsmouth Marina Thursday and they are pleased to add it back into their fleet.
Partch says the riverboat will be docked at their location on Freedom Park Road and it will be used as a floating boarding barge for their current River City Star riverboat.
The floating barge includes the Captains Quarters on the main deck. The 2nd deck will become the Drunken Parrot Bar with an island feel. The 3rd deck will feature the Rio Loco Sand Bar and the 4th is the Lookout Loft. Several levels can be converted into a full band stage that plays back to the landing facility for concerts.
Partch hopes to have it ready for use in about 3 to 4 weeks.
