It could end up being a costly break.
The Nebraska State Patrol reports a trooper seized 127 pounds of marijuana after finding a sports utility vehicle improperly parked just off Interstate 80 so the driver could relieve himself.
The patrol says the trooper spotted the vehicle parked just off the MM 48 Exit, eastbound I-80 in Cheyenne County. When the trooper approached, he smelled the odor of marijuana. A search found the marijuana in three large bags in the cargo area. He also found a pound of hashish and a small amount of cocaine.
The driver, 23-year-old Kenneth Turner of Pittsburgh, PA, has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. A passenger in the SUV, 30-year-old Gabriel Nowak of Finleyville, PA, faces a similar charge. Both have been lodged in the Cheyenne County jail.
Turner also has been charged with public urination.
